Dr. Mori has had their long-term research published in the journal BMC Surgery.
The study objectively demonstrates, using data, that rotator cuff degeneration is significantly advanced in older patients with osteoarthritis of the shoulder.
 
Pathological examinations have shown that the degree of rotator cuff degeneration in elderly patients with shoulder osteoarthritis is comparable to that seen at the torn ends of large rotator cuff tears in shoulders with cuff tear arthropathy
 
This research provides objective data that can contribute to the selection of surgical techniques for joint replacement in older patients.
 
We believe that this study will help advance medical care, even in a small way.
